Mg Boats Help Me With Physics Homework?

Help me with physics homework? - mg boats

A small ferry is 4.00 m wide and 6.00 m long. When a truck pulls, the boat sinks an additional 4.20 cm in water. What is the weight of the truck?

IB - mg = 0

I where B = density x volume x g. I about 900k N, what is wrong. Help me please.

You have the right idea, just forget the units.

Water has a density of about 1 g / cm ^ 3 The car moves a block of water 400 cm x 600 cm x 4.20 cm = 1 008 000 cm 3 This gives us 1 008 000 G = 1008 kg x 9.80 m / s ^ 2 = 9880 N
